I grew up with the belief that hard work is the key to success. But during my adult life, I observed many hard-working people who were on a treadmill going nowhere. People who are really successful have a strong self-image. They like themselves! While successful people share other characteristics, this strong self-image is the foundation. Without it, real success doesn't occur.
